Version 1 Version 2
            Transcribed by Jarrett Revels

The other chord transcriptions were okay, but there were some inaccuracies so I
just wrote this up really quickly.

I also tried to arrange the chords in relation to the lyrics in a more accurate
fashion as well. Hope it turned out well.

Make sure to play it with the rhythmic feel of the song; that groove is part of
what makes this song so appealing.

[Intro]

E - C#m - E - E (repeat)

[Verse]

            E C#m E E
Let me be your everlasting light
       E C#m E E
The sun when there is none
         E
I'm a shepherd for you
            C#m
And I'll guide you through
            E C#m E
Let me be your everlasting light

E C#m E E
Let me be your everlasting light
     E C#m E E
I'll hold and never scold
    E
In me you can confide
          C#m
When no one's by your side
            E C#m E E
Let me be your everlasting light

[Chorus]

F#m E
       Oh baby, can't you see
F#m E
       I'm shining just for you
F#m E
       Loneliness is over
       A G#m F#m
The dark days are through
F#m E
      They're through

[Verse]

            E C#m E E
Let me be your everlasting light
    E C#m E E
A train going away from pain
E
Love is the coal
        C#m
That makes this train roll
            E C#m E E
Let me be your everlasting light

[Outro]

the rest of the song just rides the rhythm with the E chord.
